Jiu Jitsu Asia endeavors to be your complete guide to the BJJ lifestyle in Asia. We provide you with up to date information on BJJ academies, competitions, seminars, training camps, stores and more. We hope to foster the growth of BJJ community in asia through travel, cross training and competing.
Where to Train
For BJJ travelers, we provide you with up to date directories and profiles of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academies and MMA gyms all across Asia. We’ll start with South East Asia including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar. We hope to eventually expand our coverage to China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
Our BJJ gym profiles will include information about the instructor, facilities, class structure, format and duration, student mix, open mats, fees, gi and towel rental. We also include information about how to get there, where to stay, relax, wash your gi, stay fit and other useful travel tips.
Where to Compete
For active competitors, we will keep an updated calendar of BJJ competitions in the region. We’ll include everything from small in-house events to major international championships and everything in between.
Where to Shop
Good gis, rash guards and other training apparel can still be tough to come by in many Asian countries. We’ll provide a directory of stores you can visit and websites you can buy bjj gis and other gear on that will ship to your country.
We’ll also provide some reviews of travel friendly gear including light weight gis, fast drying towels, packing cubes and back packs.
Thanks for checking us out and hope to see you on the mats soon. Oss!
